Terms of use
Last updated October 7, 2026 · Version 2026-10-07
Prelaunch notice: this site is for testing only and registration is closed. Do not enter real personal information. These policies describe the current application; operator details and operational retention procedures must be finalized before real-account registration opens.
1. Service and agreement
These terms govern use of Preceptor Harbor, operated by the operator whose legal identity is pending publication. By affirmatively accepting them at registration, you agree to these terms. Review the Privacy policy and Cookie policy for how information is handled. The demo uses fictional information and must not be used for real placements or personal records.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The initial launch is for people 18 or older seeking or supporting nursing placements in Texas. Provide accurate professional information, use your own account, protect your password, and keep availability and credentials current. School and site administrator access requires authorization from the organization and platform administration. Do not impersonate a school, clinician, or student.
3. What the platform does
The platform helps users compare potential matches, submit requests, and track institutional decisions and affiliation agreements. Matching currently has no platform placement fee. Schools and sites may have separate costs or requirements; these are not included or controlled by us. Any future service charges would be disclosed before you agree to them.
4. Placement approval and credentials
A request, match score, preceptor acceptance, or recorded agreement is not permission to begin clinical work. Final placement requires the required preceptor, school, and clinical-site decisions, an agreement covering the program and full dates, and compliance review. Users and institutions must independently confirm credentials, supervision, insurance, site eligibility, agreements, and applicable professional rules. “Demo verification” is fictional and does not verify a license or NPI. We do not guarantee a placement, academic credit, employment, clinical quality, or credential validity.
5. Your submissions and permission
You retain your rights in your profile and uploads. You grant the operator only the permission needed to store, display, and process your submissions to provide the service and coordinate authorized placements. Submit only material you may lawfully share. Do not upload patient information, government identifiers, medical records, copyrighted material without permission, or unnecessary sensitive information. Sharing permission can be withdrawn as described in the Privacy policy; basic records and lawfully retained copies may remain.
6. Acceptable use
Do not harass or discriminate unlawfully, misrepresent credentials, scrape other users’ information, sell placement data, send spam, introduce malicious files, bypass access controls, or use the service for patient care or emergencies. Do not use another person’s data for unrelated marketing. Report suspected misuse to Privacy contact pending — real-account registration is not open..
7. Institutions and third parties
Schools, preceptors, and sites are responsible for their own decisions and obligations. Affiliation negotiations and signatures occur through the organizations’ authorized processes; an agreement request in the app is not an executed contract. External links are provided for reference and may have their own terms. The platform is not a party to a clinical affiliation agreement solely because it records its status.
8. Availability and account restrictions
Features may change or be unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons. We may restrict accounts for misuse, security incidents, lack of organizational authorization, or legal requirements. Contact us to question a restriction or request account closure and the handling of your records. Closing or withdrawing from a request does not eliminate an institution’s independent obligations.
9. Responsibility and legal rights
The platform is a coordination tool, not medical, legal, or academic advice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, it is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted access or a particular outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or waives a consumer or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded. No mandatory arbitration, class-action waiver, or selected court is imposed by these terms.
10. Intellectual property and changes
The site’s interface and original content may be used to access the service, subject to applicable law. Third-party components remain subject to their licenses; see third-party notices. No rights to another user’s name, résumé, or materials are transferred to you. Material changes to these terms will be dated and communicated, with renewed acceptance where required. Contact: Privacy contact pending — real-account registration is not open..
